Default Audi Winter Wheel/Tire Package from Audi

So thought I would share this info. I was talking to the parts manager at the dealership and he was able to find what Audi is recommending for the winter and tire package for the RS3. These are the details he shared with me.
Audi 5 spoke wheel 8.0J x 19 ET42
PirelliTM WINTER SOTTOZEROTM 3 RO1 235/35 R19 91V XL
$3350.00

Are those CAD $ or USD $? A location in your profile so it shows on your posts would be helpful. The wheels are now listed on the Audi web sites by model under Accessories, in Canada the wheels alone are $2,250. I was quoted for those wheels and the same Sottozero3 235/35-19 winter tires at $2925.00 CAD by Royal Oak Audi in Calgary.

We can do better, for both wheels and tires! . Check out Neuspeed, their RSe102 in 19", or their RSe10 and RSe12 in 18x8.5 ET45. Use 235/40-18 tires, in the US check available winter tires on Tire Rack, in Canada use Kal Tire and just get the Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2 for non-studded, the Hakka 9 for studded. The Nokian are the top winter tires out there, but are harder to find in the US... worth it, though!

No argument there. Just was sharing the info that I was told. Going to cross check the data at a different dealer.

I put the sottozeros on my wife's S3 19" wheels. They were about 1300 bucks. About the same price as 18" wheels and 18" winter tires. If I had to do it over again I would have just picked up 18" wheels cause she ended up curbing every single wheel I've put on that car.

The sottozeros are great though.

I am not sure 18 will fit upfront, due to the calipers.... One more thing, RS has a 57.1mm center bore compared most recent Audi's...
I went with 10 Sotos and Replika R195 at 8 large (8.5 would be too large for rear)

The R195 Replika 19x8 are with suggested proce of 189 CAN... They also have the 57.1mm bore (no adjustement needed) and ET45. Should be a great fit when time comes (have them in my garage waiting for the Sottos from Costco)

Several people have confirmed now that some 18" wheels will fit the front.

Some, probably. Unfortunately whatever may happen to your front suspension, fenders, calipers etc during the winter and under warranty may be difficult to be claimed due to this as no Audi dealer has approved 18's...

If a wheel fits you don't get damage to suspention, fenders, or the calipers. You dont need audi to approve of your wheel choice. If a wheel fits it fits.

Just a note of caution on aftermarket alloys....most use tapered bolts and your Audi factory bolts are radius. Therefore you can not slap on your existing factory bolts.
