Even if you can get it on a standard A3 or other models.

Ara or Daytona
Considering making a special order on an S5 in Ara Blue. You guys seem to have the most experience with the color. Those that have one how do you like it? Only other color I have considered is Daytona. Thoughts? Opinions?

You will see that the Ara tied the Nardo for the most popular choice (at least among those who voted) along with various comments. So it basically depends on what you are trying to "achieve", do you want your S5 to be more stealthy (Daytona) or more sporty (IMO Ara) ? Personally I don't think you can go wrong with either choice. Good luck on your decision as I know it was a tough one for me.

I bought a TT-RS in Ara Blue and get compliments all the time. I got tired of all the greys so I went Ara Blue with the TT and Tango Red with my S5 SB.

I was instantly drawn to my Ara S3 when I saw it on the lot for the first time. Honestly was a great choice - it looks sportier, more "exclusive" and turns heads around town. Plus, it's one of the colors that are available only to S/RS models. Whereas you can get Daytona on an A3...

I guess downside to Ara is that the color is so dominating, that you cant really accent it much. Red interior would be too intense, black optic is a hit or miss.

Totally agree! I of course love Daytona obviously but I'm still amazed even after several months how much it changes depending on the light. I actually find myself liking it more in low light settings. It has a mean yet slick look at night which is almost indescribable. Somehow there are tones of almost silver metallic blended with black if that makes any sense. Looks more metallic at night somehow.

I committed to my Ara Blue RS3 without ever having sat in an A3 or seeing Ara Blue in person. Last weekend, I went to my "local" dealer (a few islands over) and both sat in an A3 (I fit, and it feels nice - phew!) and saw an Ara Blue R8 - it was an even better color than I thought. Really beautiful. Daytona is stunning, too. I am happy with my choice.

zzcett, at the end of the day what it comes down to is what color YOU are happy with, not others. Yes, they're both stunning colors nonetheless.
Btw, what island in Hawaii are you on? Big Island? Maui?
