S3 inner layer of windshield
An odd topic, I know, but I have noticed a significant number of what seem to scratches on the inside of my windshield. They look like scratches. They feel like scratches.
I have cleaned the inside on a couple of occasions, using an auto window cleaner product (Invisible Glass) and soft cloths, to remove the film from the plastic off-gassing.
The scratches appear to be from my wedding ring touching against the glass.
I cannot duplicate the scratches on the outside of the windshield, although I have been reluctant to press too firmly, just in case. Certainly I pressed harder than I would have done when cleaning the inside.
The car does have the auto-sensing wipers. Is there, perhaps, a film on the inside of the windscreen to facilitate the rain sensing function?
Has anyone else noticed anything similar when cleaning their windshield's inner side?
The wedding ring has been on for a *long* time; I suspect that it would need to be cut off after all this time. So removing it to clean is not really an option.
