Are seats from 2002 2.7 A6 interchangeable with 1999 2.8 A6?

Are seats from 2002 2.7 A6 interchangeable with 1999 2.8 A6?

My 1999 A6 quattro has just passed 265,000 miles and is running well (22.7mpg) for a car its age. That being said, I’ve got some tears in the original front & rear seats. I’ve been using seat covers to hide this problem for some time now. Also, I need to replace the rearview mirror & driver’s side B-pillar.

I’ve located a 2002 A6 parts car. My 1999 A6 has the standard 2.8l V-6. The 2002 parts car has the 2.7l turbo motor.

My question is are the front & rear seats interchangeable? I don’t think the B-pillars are the same. Neither is the rear view mirror (both have different attachments, although I might devise a way to use both).

Does anyone know if the seats from a 2002 A6 2.7 will fit in a 1999 A6 2.8? I know Audi changed the electrical connectors for some of the model years. I just don’t know which ones.

I have been using a driver seat from a 2001 A6 in a 2000 A6 with no major problems. I know that this does not answer your question, but it *should* work...

My main concern is Audi has changed the attachments for the power seats from a round to a square connector.
