battery change out not possible

Default battery change out not possible
'04 A6 Avant: Strut brace bar
interferes with any forward movement of the battery. Are there any tensile/compressive loads barring me from temporarily removing the bar?

Strut Brace Bars are usually under no load at all if the car is just sitting there. Just like the Sway Bars. So just loosen the bolts and pull that battery out.
