Stuck in 4 the gear only after put in reverse

Stuck in 4 the gear only after put in reverse
I have an automatic 2004 Audi A6 3.0
It has a check engine light for P0741. It started off going straight into manual and only able to get out of it by going back into park and waiting a few seconds before putting it into drive. That has changed and now it goes into drive perfectly fine on startup but when put into reverse it seems to take a second then the car shakes into reverse. After putting it in drive it will be stuck in 4th gear and the only away to get out of it is to turn the car off and back on. My AWD seems to be locked in with the front right tire and back left if that is related. I've taken it to a few different places all of which say different things. Lowest just being to replace the solenoid and highest is to completely replace the torque converter.

Check under carpet on passenger side front for moisture or traces of past moisture accumulation. Common problem. Also you have a generic scan code. If you know someone with a VW/Audi specific scanner it might get you more information.
