C5 RS6 parts that fit on an A6
C5 RS6 parts
C6 RS6 and performance after market parts
One additional question is about the drivetrain. Is there any reason a 6sp manual won't work right in an RS6?

front lower trim is hard to find. Might have to wait for Trump tariffs to go away and get one from UK. They part out hundreds of rs6 there. One weekly. in U.S you can buy another full car RS6 for the price of a bumper (rs6). It doesn’t make sense but not far from truth. I got my car for $3K(2003 rs6 with 169Kmiles) and found a bumper for $2.5K (my bumper was cracked and missing a small chunk).
There is a Rs6 group an Facebook. Very active and a lot of b.s.
if you want real answers go on rs246 forum (technical, problem solving). If you want to see thousands of rs6 c5 avants go on Facebook (rs6 c5 avants). There are 5 or 6 for sale now in UK though. Again, those guys part them out like they are a6 c5’s over here in us.
According to the rs6 group on Facebook the manual 01 tranny works fine. They sell custom adapters to make it fit.I would ask there for more info.
I have a 2004 A6 2.7T S-line I'm playing with. Got 2 questions. 1, can I drop a 4.2L AUX engine that I acquired from a 2003 A8? 2. What parts would I need to do it? Thanks in advance.
parts that would be a challenge are the radiator and transmission. Manual transmission would be the safest bet but then you have to get all the parts necessary. Radiator would have to be your original but modified to fit/connect to the new engine or preferably the A8 one if it fits your carrier. Also you would need the engine harness (loom in uk) and ecu, maybe cluster…to make things easier…
also the a/c would have to be retro-fitted with a combination of hoses from either car, and some hoses for the power steering might need some mods as well…
it would be probably way easier to put bigger turbos, injectors, upgraded fuel pump, stage 3 tune, etc into the 2.7 and get way more power that the regular v8 (even though the v8 sounds better.
