I had my car detailed + paint corrected in March, after some chemicals from an auto wash dried and wouldn't come off. I've since resorted to only handwashing, but haven't applied another coat of wax since. I noticed recently that there's some weird, white spots on the hood, I haven't been able to remove them with soap+water, and haven't tried anything else yet. We had a massive thunderstorm yesterday, and this morning I noticed that there was actually water trapped between the hood and whatever is stuck on it. I'm just wondering if this looks like wax to anyone else? I can't figure out what else it could be, but I've also never seen it. I've attached pictures; hoping they will help.
I was hoping it wouldn't be the clearcoat. I sent the pictures to my detailer, who said it looks like that to him as well. I'm not sure how to better identify if that's what it is?
And no, there was no coating or clear bra on the hood. Though I'm wishing I had applied a coating of some kind!
If it was my Audi I'd take the car to a good local detail shop for an look see and go from there. This looks like clear coat failure to my untrained eye.
