How to change Driver Information Display read out. 06 Audi A4
I just bought a 2006 Audi A4 Quattro. This is my first Audi. I cannot seem to find any buttons to operate the display to switch between display items such as MPG, average speed, current speed, DTE, and etc... on my VW there are buttons on the end of the wiper handle that do this. But there are no such buttons on my Audi. My VW is almost a base model and doesnt have the heated seats or dual climate controls. So I would think that the Audi would have some way to cycle through the info. The steering wheel controls only manipulate the radio. It is an aftermarket radio. So I thought that maybe thats my problem. However, in the owners manual it shows buttons on the wiper lever just like my Passat has.

Your car did not have the Trip Computer option fitted as a factory part; if you retrofit the wiper stalk with toggle button on the end, and do some VCDS coding, you can enable that option - a search for "DIS Retrofit" will give you lots of info on exactly what needs to be done to achieve this.

Hi,
Usually Audi 2004-2008 dash controls are always near around. Look for buttons below the dash or on Wiper lever to right of wheel or on Dipper switch lever to left of wheel.
