Anyone with an A4 B7 3.0 TDI, please help!
There is a huge difference between the two soot measurements (MB 104.2 and 104.3). The measured differential pressure across the DPF looks pretty low to me even at higher RPMs, although I don't have anything to compare it to.
The dealership wants to replace the DPF at a cost of over €3,000(!) but aren't being forthcoming at all with information, so I want to be sure that it is actually in need of replacement.
If anyone has the same engine (ideally BKN engine) and isn't having DPF issues, could you create the same graph as I did so that I can compare the two?
The car was sat in neutral, sitting at idle with me then raising the RPM to a little under 3k (max I could do with the limp mode), and dropping again.
With this screenshot you can see that even at 3k RPM the engine was showing a differential pressure of 62mbar, with one of the carbon values at 2g while the other is locked at over 70g.
Thank you in advance for any help that anyone can give!
