P2100 & P2108 Inlet Manifold Valve?
I hope someone can help. recently bought a 2007 A4 Avant and all was good until now! So the first sign of trouble was about a month ago when travelling through Europe. My wife got to the Mnt Blanc tunnel, it was very hot that day and stuck in traffic for a while. The car cut out and took a few attempts to restart, then whilst in the tunnel it lost power for a moment. Its happened a couple of times since then but the car has otherwise been fine. Then yesterday whilst going up a steep hill, again in traffic and very hot (35c) the engine initially lost power, then picked up but eventually cut out. I was able to start 3 more times, each time getting a bit further until no more. The engine would start but would cut out after a few seconds. Engine yellow light was also on this time. Previously no engine light.
I had to get a tow home. That evening the car started ok and ran, engine light still on. Next Morning no engine light, starts and runs, although at idle it initially vibrates, I rev engine seems fine, but after letting off accelerator it rumbles at idle for a second or so.
So I connected a cheap OBD connector - only one I could borrow - app says P2100 and P2108 errors - throttle related. From research it seems likely culprit is Inlet Manifold Flap. I have read there is a fuse related to this as well and this can be some proof that it is in fact this, but I cannot find the related fuse. I have seen Fuse 24 mentioned on google but that doesn't seem to correspond to my fuse box. Does anyone know the location of this fuse, if in fact it exists on the B7 ?
Does it in fact sound like the Valve needs replacing ?
Many Thanks
Dave
