Oil change

This could be a dumb question but can I just top of my oil on 2007 a4 b7 2.0T without an oil change it hasn’t reached the mileage yet but it’s giving me the low oil light

Yes. else you will likely have bigger problems. The 2.0T is known to have oil consumption issues so just keep an eye on the level and top up as needed. Some folks change the oil/filter every 5000 km, but I figure that since I'm topping up every 3000 km or so I'm already changing a fair proportion of the oil anyway. I'm now at 165,000 km (Revo chipped since 5000 km) and apart from the oil usage my Avant is running great.

The main source of the leak is the oil filter housing, it is plastic and after about 5 to 7 years they warp and start to leak oil, would be something to look at replacing. There are aftermarket ones online that go for about $75.
