Audi Other FS in NY: 2001.5 B5 S4 Sedan - Silver w/ 101k miles
2001.5 Audi B5 S4 Silver
- 6 speed manual
- ~100,000 miles ( won't go up much since I am not daily driving it any longer )
- Cold weather package with heated mirrors and heated leather power seats
- Working Auto dimming compass rear view mirror
- Power moonroof with sun shade
- 2-owner car ( I am second owner - bought at 76k )
- Full maintenance documentation from day 1
Mods
- APR Bipipes
- O34 Motorsports intake pipe
- Stratmosphere Stage 1 chip
- Stratmosphere upgraded diverter valves ( holds 13 psi of boost )
- Full aftermarket exhaust ( the 2.7TT is a great sounding engine and this exaust makes it sing )
- 2 sets of rims ( stock wagon wheels with winter tires and summer OZ rims both with loads of tread - see pictures below)
- Updated O34 spider hose and custom oil catch can
- Lowered H&R aftermarket springs
- UUC SS exhaust
- Valentine One radar detector hard wired in with optional remote display.
The Good
- Everything works electronically ( info center has no missing or dead pixels )
- AC works and solid cold air
- Heated front seats
- Has a bunch of mods which makes this thing a fun haul-*** daily driver ( see list above )
- Has stock factory color matched rear spoiler installed by the previous owner at first purchase
- No rust anywhere ( see below for body damage )
- Just had installed 2 brand new key fob's and new door lock from Audi < 3 weeks ago
- Just had the 100k tune up/service maintenance done at Audi Rochester
- Even the headlight washer fluid squirters work
- New Alternator ( < 6 months )
- New left front upper control arms ( < 6 months )
- New rotors/pads ( ~ 1 year )
- New coolant reservoir ( ~ 1 year )
- Lots of spare parts including 6-disc CD changer to put in the trunk, new suspension bolts, 2 wheel bearings new in package, etc.
The Bad
- Has a seeping passenger side valve cover gasket that can sometimes cause a slight smell of burning oil after hard WOT passes
- Has a slow coolant leak from the cross over tube. I have an updated Audi aluminum pipe to replace it but haven't had time to do the work. Aluminum replacement pipe comes with the car. I put in about 1/2 a quart every 2 weeks or so.
- Fuel sensor can get a little wacky under 1/4 tank. Reads fine until then. Haven't had time to investigate it.
- A couple of the engine covers have broken pegs so not all of them snap in 100%. None of them fall off or vibrate
The not so pretty
- Front passenger door got dinged by the previous owner and someone tried to paint match the fix and did a ****ty job. Size is about a quarter and looks like the size of a door lock cylinder. Nothing crappy just ugly to look at. ( see picture below )
- A few months ago, someone in my driveway hit my rear bumper at 5 mph. Just hard enough to crack the clear coat on the bumper cover ( just the cover, bumper itself is fine ) and put a ding in the trunk lid by the S4 emblem. Nothing huge but will need the ding pulled on the trunk and the rear bumper resprayed to make it clean again. Trunk seals fine and no issues with operational stuff.
Pictures are attached below of as much as I could. If there is anything specific anyone wants to see, let me know.
