CRAZY CIRCUIT BOARD STUFF!!!!
so im curious. my '97 A4 didn't come with the 'cool flip key'. its got a remote lock but doesnt have a key attached. my buddy gave me a 'cool flip key' from like a 2000 A4 and i took it to the dealer to get it set up for my car. However they said they run on different frequency's. However the guys in the tech shop said i could probably take them apart and move the pieces from one key to the other and make it work. well moving the entire green circuit board wont work but what if i were to cut one of the transitor things off and sodder-spell? it to the other. I'm not sure what piece controls the frequence but there are two black squares that are the exact same size and have the same number of silver wires coming out on either side.
this picture is rather blurry but it might help you see what im talking about:

So do you guys think this would work? Or should i just make do with the old style'd key and sell the flip key on ebay for a $100 or so?
