is the Pilot A/S squishy? Avid V4s squishy?

IMHO the Pilot A/S is more "responsive" than any Dunlop
tire I've had on my A4. I currently have 225/50-16 Pilot A/S on my A4. I've had Dunlop SP8000 OEMs in 205/55-16 and two sets of Dunlop SP5000 (A/S)in 225/50-16. The Pilots have a tendency to "catch" uneveness on the freeway and could drift slightly, but they track pretty straight overall. I also believe they have softer shoulders than the SP5000. Pilots aren't as harsh -- you could take that as squishy -- but they grip WAY better than the SP5000s during hard cornering and on cloverleaves taken fast. Hope that helps.
