2.8 chip...GIAC vs Wetterauer........

There is quite a bit of info out about the GIAC chip and not much about the Wetterauer. I've read a number of posts about the GIAC chip and it sounds like a quality unit, but the nearest GIAC dealer is 350 km away. There IS a Wetterauer dealer right here in town, but there are very few posts out there about just how good the Wetterauer chip is.
The Wetterauer claims to give you 17 hp and 18 Q vs the 10 hp/Q that you get from the GIAC. Has anyone out there had experience with both chips??

I've looked through the archives and there are no good comparisons between the chips for the 2.8 eng. Its all crap like "Get it!" or "It sucks!".....real useful stuff! LOL

Too bad you have a 5-sp. You can just VAG a Tip to 200hp.

Well not exactly...

the way I understood it was you can recode it for the A6(?) which is rated at 200hp, but there where some differences, diff. exhaust and such that contributed to the extra 10hp. Not just software settings. While some people said it made there car faster, I'm not going to trust it until i see Dyno results.
