Default repost for aw b5: why I'm pissed at achtuning

Ok guys remember Waterfest it was like 3 monthes ago. Well I decided I wanted DTM RS4 Reps and who else to go to that then either Hartmann Wheels or someone who works with them Achtuning. I head over to the booth and order my wheels, awesome. Heck i even get a free shirt and shipping. No everything goes as planned and I recieve my wheels, although upon further inspection I'm missing the centercaps that I was told are included for free. I look at the invoice and it states that it was included.

Sooo, I email them to see whats up with that. They dont respond, I email them again a few days later. They answer and say sorry my email was put in junk mail accidentally, ok cool reasonable mistake. As for my centercaps, the guy who does shipping is also the guy who custom fabricates these centercaps to fit on the DTM reps was out and they weren't able to get them to me. Ok, reasonable again not gonna expect them to do something the literately can't, even though they prob should have notified me about that, and they say they'll send a set out to me.

3 weeks later and I still have no centercaps. I give them a call and this lady answers and i explain my situation. She assures me that a set will be sent to me and even asks if all my info is still the same.

Ok, so i figure I'M DEF GETTING THEM THIS TIME. Its been 2 weeks, WTF ACHTUNING! This is the first and only purchase i have made and it being $1000+ purchase maybe i might want to spend an equal amount later on. i would have thought that something as simple as sending centercaps is so freaking hard.

I'm most certainly not a ball buster i think 3 months almost to date of the order is MORE then reasonable enough to be able to complete the order you screwed up. Yes i realize these are only centercaps but please tell me y i should spend 40 a piece on centercaps i was told was part of my order. I have saved all the documents and emails that i have sent as well as the ones i have recieved, i'm not just talking out of my @$$.

Just thought it'd be nice to let people know about this and hopefully they will be a lil more caution of any future purchases.

Default you're not the first to have that sort of experience with achtuning..

keep at it and ask to speak to josh next time..

Default yeah Achtuning will recieve a call almost everyday until i get a confirmation # for the caps.

they'll know me by name by the end of this week.

Default As frustrading it is, is it appropriate to slam achtuning(or any tuner) like that on the forums??

i just think you should keep it to yourself and the tuner. but thats just me

Default its not bashing when i just say what they failed to give me. I can provide written proof from the..

emails. And to tell you honestly if it were more common knowledge i would have never ordered anything from them. I was also considering getting a FMIC that same day. I wish more would express troubles with shotty customer service.

Default i dont ask much, i'm not **** but 3 months is ridiculous. Heck, THEY offered the caps!!

I will sing the praises and gladly be a return customer. I've had good experience with KMD tuning here in NJ and have dropped almost about $700 within a month there with no doubt that they are good on their word. This is the first and ONLY time i've ordered something simple from Achtuning and they havent sent something THEY offered.

Default Yeah i understand wehre people can be coming from.

but fo rme, i think they should just be keeping it to themeselves even though they want to see the tuner suffer because they suffered which i guess is fair enough. i have actually had some experiences with them and they werent necessarially good but i didnt go out telling my opinion on them, but i would like to say they always seem to be swamped with tons of work and it seems they are short on employees but i do believe anytime soon they will get the right amount of employees and explode into a great company. im jst posting htis cause i dont want what happend in the pacific nw forum of what somebody had said about speedware(a local tuner in washington). but anyways, i noticed your new sig, looks like you already got the mini up and running and by the looks of the parts it looks like a fun ride. have you sold your B5 yet??

Default absolutely, it's the facts... he's not the first to have this problem and very likely won't be the

last. People need to know about this before they purchase from achtuning. I've had no issues with them but plenty of others have. I'd think twice about buying anything from them unless i was picking it up in person.

dont get me wrong either, im not saying your a bad person or anything, id be just as angry or more angry about the situation your in. but what you need to do is call them first thing in the morning and ask to speak to josh decker, he will set you straight. good luck
