ME:
Hi,



I've got a 1999.5 A4 1.8t quattro manual and am interested in your sport throttle body.

My questions are regarding both performance and logistics:

TAP: My tech is out of the office for the rest of the week so I will try and answer your questions as best I can.
I will forward it on to him though for further comment.

ME: 1) Do you have any dynamometer results with this piece on a stock or modified A4? You claim as much as a 10hp increase somewhere in the powerband, but is power lost at any point?

TAP: *Sorry, no dyno sheets, the power band is mid range from 2800 up.



ME: 2) I understand the $600 core charge will be returned if you receive my original throttle body back within 14 days... is that 14 days from when you ship your product, or from when it's received on my end? Also, once you receive the core, how long does it take for the credit back to my account?

TAP: *14 days after you receive it. It must be a good stock working core that you return for a refund. If you send in your own throttle body, there is no core charge! Normally, the credit is applied within 1 to 3 days after we have checked it over.

ME: 3) What is the warranty on this product?

TAP: *If it's your own throttle body there is none, all we are doing is boring out the throttle body as far as we can.

If one of our cores is faulty, we would exchange it, other than that there is no warranty.

so, what do you guys think? if it will give more area under the curve, it's not a bad upgrade for &lt;$200... I really wouldn't waste $200 on that... $200 will get you some good brakes to slow that K04

Tap just sucks. you'd get more hp out of some cool decals and leds. their cust. service is horrible and the products are garbage. just do a search on them.

Default When did the stock TB become the bottle neck in the system?

Still running the stock one on my car at 400-450whp.

that's what the new ZO6 is putting out, and that's only mid-11s i guess.

I really want to see your beast

Yeah, I got kind of skeptical when they said, "no dyno graphs"

In my return email I said something to the effect of "I'd feel more comfortable buying a product if I knew what kinds of tests the advertised gains were based on"
