Hmm, hit a cutout in the road today hard enough to shock the car to make my CD skip. is there someth
ing i should be looking for in my suspension that coule prematurely fail at 70K? control arms, struts shocks, cv joints, teh works?

put a corner on a jack stand. with both hands, grab that wheel and try to move it in directions
that it normally wouldn't travel and see if there's excessive play. if there is, fix what is causing it.
I would only worry about a bent wheel. At 70k, with normal driving, everything should still be ok. control arms and TREs tend to fail earlier than anything else. These you can spot by a torn rubber bushing. Wheel bearings and CV joints will make a lot of noise.

im getting a weird rubbing noise coming from my front left wheel well while im driving slow in first
somone said it could be my control arm. any way IIII could check this? without bringing it somewher and payin somone money to tell me its the control arm?
