Rear wiper stopping...

anyone have this happen before? Turn the rear wiper on and it swipes all the way to one side, but on the way back it stops about every 1/4 of a turn then completes the swipe?

How long does it stop?

I go through rear wiper blades like its no bodies buisness, but it just shudders back.

I blame the excessive ammount of grit that accumulates on the back of an avant.

Only stops for a second... dont think its the wiper blade tho

its not a studder across the window, more like a pause in the middle of the swipe
