Audi Q7 2015 old shape - google earth issues

Hi just bought a nice q7 s line sport 2015 (old shape) and I seem to get the connecting still when I try to move to google earth view.

any ideas?

Support has been discontinued. As in AT&T literally stopped broadcasting anything on 3G - which is what the modems ran own. The only upgrade path is to get a new Android head unit like RSNav etc.

on top of that, the google earth partnership with Audi ended so even if you had connectivity you would still not get google earth images.

The NAV system still works fine so long as you update the NAV maps (https://carsie.net/), and you might think about that old MMI firmware too. Google maps is no longer a thing internal to Audi's...not available. The next level upgrade is a plug-n-play Carplay module, so you can use whatever mapping apps you got on your iOS/android smartphone +++ streaming music, and all the rest of the conveniences Carplay bringeth; an excellent tech upgrade for the Q7...just be sure to buy it locally to protect yourself from defective equipment.
