Rear sunroof rattle, WT?
Our 2013 Q7 has the full sun roof where the front slides back, and the rear panel tilts up. The rear panel, when closed, has a rattle in it near the front (hinged section) that is driving my wife nuts. I sat back there to listen to it, and confirmed that it's within the connective tissue (hinge?) that allows the glass to tilt up. No noise occurs when it is tilted up, and it's definitely from the front (driver's side) edge when the glass is tilted down and seated.
Has anyone else had this issue? And if so, what was the core problem and how was it resolved?

Is one or both hinges loose, Things do come unhinged once in a while. At least that's what my wife says happens to me. lol Try moving the glass by hand when in the tilted and closed positions. Any movement

Start reading forward from the post below to the end of the thread. In that thread, i describe how I went about fixing that nasty front-edge rattle. As you are reading, I would recommend doing the "lube" fix first, and then tackling the gasket as a last resort.

There is a TSB for this rattle. Not every Q7 gets that rattle, but for the ones that do, it is extremely annoying. Not sure why...it must be on some frequency that is super-annoying to humans...

I've learned to live with mine. Surprisingly mine waited until I was outside of the warranty to start acting up. Initially I was going to trade the car in because it drove me crazy but that would be just dumb but overall, while annoying I just turn the music up a little more.
