Custom-fit Wireless Charger for 2015 Q7 Center Console?
Well, as luck would have it, me spilling a sugary drink into my center console buttons now has me needing to remove the console covers to clean all the buttons -- which means, I want to make the most of it!

I've searched around quite a bit, but haven't been able to find a custom fitting solution to installing a wireless charger (Qi) into the bottom of the center arm rest console, in (or replacing) the felt-lined storage area. Any leads or ideas on a clean wireless charger install?

Audi sells a Qi charge pad now, or you can just buy a decent one online, in a store, etc, etc. Anyone who's done the Carplay kit upgrade already has a dedicated hardwire from the Carplay kit that provides charging also, so not really a need to reinvent the wheel. Plenty of mount options if you want to keep your phone handy also, but with the Carplay interface, you don't need it sitting in front of you, and you can route the extra long USB cable, included with Carplay, pretty much wherever you want it to go. Just bear in mind you will need to have access to the USB for firmware updates, etc., for the Carplay kit.

Plenty of searchable threads on here discuss Carplay kits for the Q7, and there are installation and demo videos online if you search, which will also lead you to threads within forums, such as this one.
I will recommend you to purchase a Carplay kit from a local vendor, so in case the worst happens and you get one that craps out or doesn't work out-of-the-box, you have an easy recourse and support system in place to take care of the return, etc. Amazon and the 4X4 store/shop are two such vendors in the USA. If you live in another country, use the internet to search and locate a vendor in your region that has an excellent service/return policy. I do believe Amazon also offers an extended warranty add-on, which is likely worth it, IMHO. Most of the vendors you will find are in China, which is only a bad thing when you need service/support on the product. Even the ones you buy on Amazon are made in China, but you are dealing with Amazon's return policy, and speed of processing, which makes all the difference.
