Default Anyone ever changed a Radiator Core Support?

There is a very clean 2013 TDI for sale, looks nearly spotless inside and out. I contacted the Audi dealer that serviced this Q7 and got the maintenance history. Back in 2018 the owner had the Q7 in for service and mentioned to the technician that the left-front grill and fender were not aligned. The technician noted in the repairs that he adjusted things as much as possible but Radiator Core Support was cracked and needed replaced. Looking at pictures of this Q7 it's apparent that the Core Support was not changed, as the gap between the front panel and the front-bottom edge of hood is uneven from side to side. The passenger's side looks fine, but the driver's side has quite a gap - see picture below. Has anyone ever changed out the Core Support? The part is about $800 or so from what I see on line.

I haven't heard of anyone having to do so unless the car was in some sort of accident. Knowing a bit on how they are put together, it'll take a while to extricate the old support and install the new one, then align everything properly.

Hi, have changed it on a 2011 3.0tdi, its fearly easy, but takes alota time, I did it in 2 work days, its a heap of parts thats needed to go of, bumper and such, needs to take of the rad support also.
but if you have some experiense, it wont be a problem, it just takes some time.

Thank You for your input Cuatrokoop & Dieselboosted....I do appreciate it. Yes the big question about this 2013 TDI is - how did the core support get broken? There is nothing in the Carfax or Audi Service information about any accidents. If I pursue this Q7, I will be sure to tell the dealer to adjust the price based on the core support cost and two days of my time needed to install it. Thank You Again....

Just to let you know, at least here in Canada a radiator support replacement is considered frame damage at car auctions. Make sure you price it right because if the repair is on the carfax, that will be a big red flag for a future buyer.

Thanks B49MTL...the carfax showed no accident history, and it was a 1-owner vehicle. However this Q7 TDI sold a couple of days ago. I've said it before and I'll regurgitate it again....nice clean low-mile TDI's with warranty left are selling FAST.

Hey Dieselboosted, did you need to drain coolant and refrigerant for this? I am trying to do this DIY and want to know what I need to have on hand.
