2013 Q7 TDI prestige help
I've bought their package for MMI firmware and NAV maps for our '10, and it's a good value, and recommended to bring it all up to speed. If you want to modernize, then a carplay kit can be ordered via Amazon for under $300, which will work with Android or iPhones, and is really a nice tech upgrade using the stock interface. There are other options also you can search/read about herein.
The push-to-start button not working is likely a simple issue. Start with ensuring the batteries in key fobs aren't dead, and that all your key sets will start the car, etc. The car needs to be fully scanned with a Volkswagon compatible...VAG-compatible diagnostic scantool, which I have, and you should also have before too long. The model you buy is based on what you want to be able to do; real DIY/fixing vs. reading trouble codes to be sure you don't get scammed by a shop, etc.

Thread Creator advised the car is currently getting minor repairs from selling lot currently, and they just replaced the MMI control board. The illumination ring around the start/stop buttons does not function, which means there's no power to the start/stop buttons.
Diagnosis: The wire lead to the start/stop buttons was removed during the swap out of the MMI board, so they need to go in and reconnect the button leads to complete that repair. Remote key fob tested and is working normally/car's door sensor recognizes it.
This '13 Q7 TDI Prestige was professionally inspected and fully scanned prior to purchase and it's still under TDI extended warranty @136k miles. The engine/rear main seals, and turbo-pipe are leaking oil...looks like he hit the lottery, and also may get a new turbocharger.
From review of inspection scan results I can see there is a faulty door handle or two on the car creating parasitic drains/killing the battery; battery tested poorly for CCA on inspection.NOTE: The minor items that failed the purchase inspection are being repaired by selling lot; always, always always, get any used Audi inspected for faults, just like our new forum member, Robert, did.
