External monitors for mmi 2013 q7
I recently purchased a 2013 q7 this is my first Audi. So I am trying to learn about it. It has the DVD player in the dash but no external screens in the back. Is there a way to add these after market that will show the dvd from the head unit. Or is it better to just by separate DVD players for the back. This is a big need for two small kids on long road trips.

There's actually a set of the OE headrest monitors for sale in the marketplace right now...saw it yesterday. No idea how challenging it would be to get configured, but worth a look-see anyway. Ask good questions regarding wiring/hook-ups/peripherals like headsets, remotes, etc. It may be easier to go aftermarket if you can't get all the OE 'DVD kit' from the seller. Also, you do know they have holders to mount on the headrests so you can setup a tablet/iPad style device to allow the kiddos to watch a show, etc. Think outside the box a little...multiple options available for rear seat infotainment.
