That damn rear sunroof
2007 Audi Q7 4.2 Premium
Just finished updating and fixing the 4 sunroof drains and now I am trying to solve a sunroof problem before reinstalling the headliner.
So I’ve checked the two motors mounted for the rear sunroof and they are both good.
I switched out the two and that didn’t solve anything as the roof is still stuck in the closed position. I can hear it try to open and see the tubing flex a tiny bit but something is in a bind somewhere. Tried to lightly use the emergency procedure to see if I could turn it back and forth a bit loosen it up and that wasn’t happening either. And that’s as far as I go for this problem. I have no idea how these gears attach to these actuating lines etc.
If you’ve had this problem and solved it I would appreciate some guidance before I take it to the pros.
