Bulb light indicator
To verify, turn on your headlights switch to manual on and pull it all the way out towards you (two clicks), open rear hatch, and verify operation of flashers/turn signals/brake lights, reverse lights, rear fog lights...everything that's in the bumper-mounted unit.

I'd be scanning the car for trouble codes just to check there's nothing else related lurking, but it could just be a bad bulb.

I did not know the turn and brake were down there as well. Just thought it was for when the lid was open and on the side of the road to have visibility.
thanks
thanks for the help. On to the next project.
Given the fact you can code the front fog lights so that LED bulbs can be used w/o throwing a bulb-out error, I'm wondering about those rear bumper mounted bulbs now. May have to do a little experimentation with those rear fog bulbs to see.
On the front fogs, it gives you two options; with fogs/without fogs...you code it as if the car does not have them, so it stops monitoring the voltage in that circuit, but the circuit still functions normally, and the LED fog bulbs work fine out front now...no errors in car.
I am now interested in the front fog going to led.
thanks for the info

The right lower bumper tail light cracked the lens and allowed moisture in. Although the bulb holder was not corroded and a bad bulb replaced, it would work properly, then would get the rapid blinking on the right side...
The solution for me was to buy a complete bumper tail light w/ bulbs and harness off Amazon (china "special" for $42.03) - so far no fast blinking or annoying bulb out messages...!!!
