Default Front LED Turn signals

I have a 2010 Q7, S-line, TDI. The front left LED turn signal just went out. I came across 2 part numbers. It looks like one supersedes the other. Part numbers are 4L0953041D and 4L0953041E for reference. I am finding some sites stating that the D part is a non s-line part and the E part is the s-line. They look identical from what I can tell online. There is a $50 difference in pricing.

Wondering if anyone has any input and/or a cheap place to pick these up? Thanks.

4L0953041 is the part number, the D and E are revisions to the part. E being the newer revision of the same part.

It's weird that they would be advertised differently though and offered at different prices from a retailer, no?

I guess I'll just have to take it off when I have a few minutes to get to it and visualize the part number on my car.

Dang; those are expensive little buggers to buy new. I'd sure be using my VCDS to verify if it's really the LED unit vs. something else that has a problem, since those are pretty sturdy assemblies, and verifying the controller, wires/connections. If I had to replace one, I'd be checking for used/recycled parts online via part# search, or a local auto recycler/pick-your-part place, etc. If you buy a new one, then you will notice it looks out of balance on the front of car, since it is so pristine looking compared to the other, lol.

I've got a 2010 also; zero issues with lighting, except trying to locate some good reverse bulbs (LED), that will play nice with the Audi voltage monitoring, and removing the stupid license plate bulb on the right side, which has never been out of the car before...little bit jammed/stubborn housing.

I have put these in both my 2014 Q7's, no issues.

Usually the letter at the end is a revision, but this looks like the D is for regular Q7's and the E is for S-Line Q7's.

I was going to swap the LED's from one side to the other just to confirm. Turns out in typical Audi fashion you have to pull the bumper to get the LED's out or at least remove the intercooler as you have to get to the heads of the bolts that sit between the intercooler and the LED's. I did notice before this happened that one of the LED's was red, rather than orange and then I went out one day and the whole LED wasn't working. Not sure if that is relevant or not. It's pouring rain here today so I may be some time before I can get to it. Given the price of replacements, I'd really like to confirm the part number before ordering.

Not sure if there is one, or if can be purchased individually, but on all the upgrade kits I've seen, there is a controller unit that provides a stable power supply to the LED or HID lighting unit. The downside is they are normally installed pretty close to the lighting unit hardware, itself, but sometimes in a bit more easy to access location. Every lighting 'upgrade' kit I've installed on cars/motorcycles, my TV, etc., have all incorporated a small controller unit that mounts remotely, or is integral with the light strip.

The LED turns signals/tail lamp assemblies were the result of the 'facelift' in 2010, and were not an original design item, so my money is on there is a controller unit for the turn signal LED that has gone bad on that one side (mounted in close-ish proximity to it. If I were going to have to remove the whole front fascia to get to anything, I'd likely just get those new kits with multimode built-in that comes with both sides for around $120-$150, so you don't have to worry about the other side going out, and can sell the used one that still works fine for big $$ I like the ones that double as a white, daytime running light, then swap over to the orange for turn signal activation...very modern.
