Default The "perfect" wheel fitment

I had gone back and forth, back and forth on what wheel to do. I was going to have a set built but could not justify the cost for a daily. So I decided to reach out and see if I could find a wheel that fit my specs. I did not want to use any spacers and wanted the "perfect" fitment that would give me the perfect flush fit and look OEM plus. I had the local shop lower the Q with H&R springs and then dial the alignment in, as well as a set of motor mounts. I simply love the way it drives after the springs. The OEM wheels were not going to work, and I wanted to stick with a 20" wheel. So after a long search I found the elusive wheel.

20x10 TSW Gatsby
295/40 Michelin Latitude Pilot Sport N0
H&R springs

It sits absolutely perfect for me now.

That does look fantastic! I am running 19X11 wheels with 285 rubber and it too fits absolutely perfect. These cars benefit form having some rubber thickness around the wheel with the corresponding open space around the tire to the fender. Most people dont get that balance right and it looks like the SUV is all lifted up and quite frankly look like aftermarket stuff.

I love when I see some good 40 series rubber on 20 or 21" wheels.

Your car looks like it can use some S-Line fender extensions which you can buy on ebay for about 180$ for all 10 pcs.

Mine sits on 19x11 with 285 45 tires and offers the absolute ride comofort. Fitment is near perfect too with 20mm front and 25mm rear spacers.

they like the rubber. Yours look good too. I do not like spacers as I will be towing my 911. Picked up the new trailer today.

I need new tires on the Q I just picked up. I am definitely going 295/40. The extra meat on the sidewall is a must.

Nice wheel choice and setup OP!

Unless you have a 10” wide wheel a 295 is not recommended.

@b16gsr - Did you need hub-centric rings for these? I just picked up a set of these, and the shop called to inform me that the hub bore is slightly larger than my stock 21" peelers. They said that they think it'll be alright without them - we'll see, I guess!

I put a set of C6 wheels on a C5 allroad once...the hub bore is quite different between the two and it was quite amusing.

I would not count on five bolts to center a wheel. That's not their design...they provide clamping, rather than positioning. The hub provides the positioning.

Everything *might* be fine. Or not. I wouldn't do it.

I'm with ya! I just ordered these: https://www.463industries.com/access...ngs-841-to-716.
It was silly of me to compare hub sizes in the first place!
