Hey everyone! Bought two q7s one to flip, one to keep. The one I have a issue with had a mmi issue I got fixed, while separating the lift gate chrome piece the flap came out, any way to put it back or do I have to buy a new one? Thanks! Chrome piece fell off
That's simply a spring-loaded 'vanity' trim piece that pops up to give it a cleaner look when the gate is lifted, and perhaps keep a bit of debris from getting into the latch plate area; it then simply pivots downward when the locking mechanism lowers on it. You may have lost track of the spring bit that puts tension on it to hold it up...compare to your other car.
