What brand and length breaker bar do you have?
Looking for a good 1/2" breaker bar. Not sure what brand and length I should go for. I'm going to be using it in case the 2 bolts that hold the caliper carrier are stuck on my Q7...

you'll need a long one, they are around 200 ft/lbs
Mine is a Hazet, edit, just double checked - 18.5 inches long. For caliper bolts, you may need an extension, like a floor jack handle or something, Longer arm = more torque for the same level of effort.

For those bolts a 25" 1/2"-drive breaker bar will do it. 18" will take more grunt.

I found a really good deal on the Hazet 18" on autohausaz.com, so I went with that. Looks like it will be a good tool for a long time.

Harbor Freight 2' + bar; they carry a decent variety of sizes up to ginormous at reasonable prices, and most everything of their 'store brand' is lifetime guaranteed. They also carry other brands. I like tools that get the job done and don't break. I also keep a three foot section of galvanized pipe handy for when I need a little boost breaking loose those lug nuts and brake bolts, etc.
Don't forget to save some $$ for a good, heavy-duty 1/2" torque wrench.

As 10Q7 said, just get the harbor freight one and a long pipe that slides over the bar. That will give you enough leverage for just about anything. That's what I do. Plus some penetrating oil and a blow torch as needed.
