That's really good news, since you've got the higher output radiator cooling fan/high capacity radiator/'tow-specific' fan shroud, etc., with the factory tow option. The missing trailer plugin/ dust cover on the harness end is exactly how you know you got the 'factory installed' hitch, and even better, you now know that it's never been used as a tow vehicle prior, which is great intel to have on a used vehicle with a hitch receiver mounted.
Be sure to verify condition of the harness side hook-up for any corrosion, clean contacts as necessary (electrical cleaner/brush) & regrease (waterproof electrical grease) prior to securing it onto the trailer plugin port, etc. Unlikely the factory ball hitch is with the car still, as it has the heft of a boat anchor, but the factory hitch is of the heavy-duty, solid shank type. It's waay overpriced via Audi, but you might find the OE/OEM part or an aftermarket version reasonably priced via part # search. Pay attention to the specs of the OE ball hitch if looking to the aftermarket for one, as they come in every length, drop/rise, and ball size imagineable...easy to get it wrong if you are new to towing. There are also guidelines for the hitch on sticker attached to the receiver end that peeks out behind car.
