Default 2013 Q7 With 129,000 Miles

I've had my Q7 since 2012 and it has been a great vehicle. I am hoping to keep it for many more years. What are the top 3 or maybe top 5 recommended original part replacements to bring it back to a close to "new" condition. All help is appreciated.
Thanks!

New shock absorbers. Upper control arms or just the bushings, depending on the condition of the ball joints. Lower control arms or at least the inner two bushings. 3.6L or 4.2L engine? Valve cover maybe. Also the driver side plastic coolant bypass pipe and water pump may need replacing.

Mk-I is generally very solid mechanically from what I read in the Mk-II group. We mostly had minor electrical gremlins, like a bad satellite radio, rear brake light harness, and J518 no crank problem.

You are welcome. Here is a current discussion thread by another member on the shock absorbers. There are also info on control arms and bushings, and whether to change just the bushings or get new arms in there.

Mainly there is a big diff between gas vs TDI engines, so far as what will need to be done around that mileage. If you are not a super-DIYer, just take it down to a competent shop that works on German cars and pay them to do a 'Pre-sale' inspection on the car. For about $100 they'll scan it, drive test, check all suspension bits, brakes wear/function, fluids condition, alignment, tire wear, etc., and give you a comprehensive 'health' report on it. It's a good investment on a 'keeper' car.

If you've been living in Louisiana for a long time (been there, done that), where many of the older roads across the state just hammer you constantly on their expansion joints (I call it the 'paving by braille method'), then you might be ready for some struts, an alignment, etc. FYI: You can buy a lifetime alignment on this car reasonably; I got both cars done at Firestone, and so I can take them in anytime for free eval and realignment, as needed. I'm not unhappy to be far from Louisiana roads now. Your experience may vary from my own, but I was always happy when crossing over into TX, as the roads immediately transitioned over to a smoother surfacing, and higher speed limits, LOL.

Thank you for the input! I could not agree with you more regarding the roads. I should know I am a highway engineer LOL.
