Default Windshield Wipers Spray Nozzle Swapping

Has anyone attempted to change out the original 'laser pointer', hood-mounted wiper spray heads that shoot straight streams at the windshield with one that functions better from another Audi such as off the 4M chassis? My OE sprayers work fine, but are nearly worthless and mainly just hit other cars rather my windshield, or bounce off the windshield and over top of the car. I waste most of my washer fluid trying to get enough on the wind screen to not ruin my wiper blades. Lots of blowing dust/pollen where I'm located.

I'm positive others have the same issue, so has anyone resolved it?

Anyone?

No experience with different model nozzles, but have you tried to adjust them yet? If not, take a clothing pin and insert it into the center of the nozzle jet to move it. They’ll adjust about 20* in each direction for a better aim. If never aimed since built, they may be stiff. They will adjust though. Three nozzle jets per side. On the Q7’s, I’ve always aimed them low for the exact reason you state. I also fan the spray pattern out better into the wiper sweeping area.

Thanks for the tip! I've adjusted on other cars with same style of adjustment, but I always forget about adjusting them. Main reason I'm inquiring is just to see if there's a direct fit for the newer style w/fan spray type of fluid distro, such as you get on newer cars, or even our 2016 Kia Soul, LOL!

I'd just love to adios those old style nozzles and have some that really work well; now that would be an upgrade I'd spend a few bucks to acquire, yup. On the '15 w/headlight washers, you get at least one good full coverage dousing when the headlight washers go off at speed...not so on our '10.

I'm not sure if its the same as the B8/8.5 S4's but if the nozzle is the same then it can be swapped with the VW jetta's M/Y 15. I swapped those in on my S4 and it was the single worst 'mod' I've done. I thought the S4 ones we bad but I could never get the jets to adjust high enough to spray the passenger side high enough. I even purchased the official adjustment spacers but even with those installed it doesn't go high enough. As previously suggested I'd adjust the nozzle before attempting the swap. It is cheap enough though at $15 per pair to be worth a shot. If you need the spacers I'm sure I can track down the part numbers for you.

I recently changed mine on my A6. My reasoning is to have the curtain style instead of 3 streams...I followed this video,

That's money right there; exactly what I'm looking for...a plug-n-play solution

So the part # listed in video are linked to the Audi A6 C7 model, and they are side-specific, heated, curtain spray washer nozzles:

I ordered a set of heated fan spray nozzles off Ebay (user no longer on/ https://www.ebay.com/itm/222908822506) and they work perfect. You'll just have to use a torx driver to adjust the spray the first time.

How was the tube fit? I got some of these from china and the hose barb was substantially undersized....

That's because you got them from China, LOL! The part # 5M0955986C9 @Built4Sin references is from a VW Jetta, and is the heated, fan spray, adjustable type...plug-n-play yet again. Nice!

These were genuine, from Russia last year prior to all the war stuff. I cross referenced a bunch of part numbers and surfing Russian car forums for retrofit ideas (A8 seats into the Q7 or Cayenne, newer 4M steering wheel retrofit).

Those guys are on another level of retrofitting!

Anyways, they fit perfectly and take seconds to remove and install.
