We had let our A6 sit for awhile and the battery has gone dead
I tried to use the key to open the door but I canot get the key inot the key hole!!
I have tried both ways and used some WD 40 in keyhole but to no avail
How am I going to get these doros open so I can open hood or trunk and charge battery??

@jaslyn Some googling suggests that with some models you may be able to manually open the trunk, put a seat down and get access to the cabin.

More googling suggests that you can run a small charge through the license plate light wiring and get enough to unlock the door.

Or break a window.

the battery is in the trunk, there should be a key hole in the trunk handle. My A6 driver door did the same thing, it just took a bit of working with the WD40 and trying the key several times, was not a one and done thing. But try the trunk key hole first.

He cant open his doors, so this wont work.

As for the key in the trunk, mine does NOT have a keyhole, but my 05 did.

When you put the key into the drivers door, what happens? Does it go all the way in and just wont turn??

Small soak of penetrating oil on the lock, doesn't take much, let it sit overnight, then try again. While trying to turn the key, tap the metal edge of the exposed part of the key blade (between fob and door key hole) with something like a butter knife. Don't force it too hard. You can usually free them up but it takes patience. If this doesn't work I'd be jacking it up, crawling underneath and putting a battery charger on the starter wire. That is the easiest way to access the battery circuit with the car completely locked.
