Alarm arm disarm by door lock button.
My car is a A6 3.0 TDI quattro 2007.
I'm having a small problem with my alarm system. Better to tell how did it happen. As known problem from this cars is the door locks that start to fail, specially when temperature change. So as solution a I decided to replace them all, I haven't done it all in the same day, first started with the real faulty ones and left the others for last. As the last one, driver side, I did forgot to disconnect the battery and during the removal of the lock unit I did got the turning lights flashing at the moment I disconnected the wires plug of the unit, as a reaction I did press some of the buttons on the key but then I went to disconnect the battery in order to finish the installation. After all was done I did connect the battery and test all locks and also the key door locking/unlocking. All working normally.
The problem that appears after this is that the alarm is armed by the door lock push button of the driver side, so when I start driving and the car automatically looks the doors I think the alarms get that signal and as soon as I stop the car and remove the key from ignition the alarm is armed and I have to press the key unlock button to disarm it. If I want to avoid that situation I have to press the unlock button from the driver side before switching of the key.
This thing annoys me a little bit.
I think is kind of strange situation but does anyone have any idea on what could be the reason for that?
