ECM repair
Been having some issues that I believe are ecm related. Can anyone on here recommend a company to inspect and repair my ecm? I've searched and searched the internet and have yet to find one company that doesn't have a ton of really bad reviews. If you have used someone for this service and were pleased with the result please speak up. I'm so tired of searching and reading.

AFAIK, the ECM is not easily repaired due the way it is sealed and the complexity of the electronics. When I had a defect in the ECM in my 2006 A6 Avant, I replaced it with a updated new unit from an on-line Audi dealer, and then had the new part cloned to the old unit by Speedometer Solutions near Chicago (www.speedosolutions.com). Prior to that process, I sent my defective ECM to a company in Florida to see if they could repair, which they could not. They offered to sell me another ECM, but they required me to send them one of my FOBs and the immobilizer from my car. That process was a non-starter for me.
