Intake Manifold Tuning Control Solenoid Valve Location?
First time poster on this forum.
I own a 2009 Q5 with a 3.2L engine - somewhat uncommon in the Q5. As a result of limited years in production, there are not so many owners with the 3.2L. So I thought I may get a better response on this forum since A6 used the same engine.
A few weeks ago I noticed reduced acceleration and MPG.
After a scan, the code P2070: Intake Manifold Tuning (IMT) Valve Stuck Open Bank 1 was present. Cleared it and it reappeared. I've inspected vacuum lines for leaks and the IMT flap. All seems good.
Based on a few posts across the boards, it appears a defective vacuum control valve (037906283C) is a common issue for this code.I ordered the part but had a question regarding it's placement.
Question: Where's the location of this specific valve that controls the IMT? At the front or rear of the engine?
Based on the drawing below it appears there's 2 or 3 of these control valves across the engine bay. (#32 front, #32 rear, #37 front?)
Thank you for any help.

After replacing the front control valve (Pierburg - 037906283C), the code P2070 was eliminated. Glad it was a relatively cheap repair this time.
