07 a6 4.2 fsi
I suddenly lost power steering no leaks and all fuses are good. I’ve read about the shaft getting wire and it stops turning the pump. I just find it hard to believe that there wouldn’t be any noise? Any help would be great

Is power steering fluid present in the reservoir? If so then idle the engine and remove cap to see if PS fluid shows surface movement inside the reservoir. Also watch for active bubbles as there should be none.

there is no movement of fluid at all I had already done that but I was hoping for an answer to relieve my stress lol. I bought this car 2 1/2 months ago and I love the car but I have been working on it almost every day replaced a ton of o-rings due to oil leaks new intake gasket as I had to replace the oil filter housing o-rings also oil pressure sensor front wheel bearings brakes and tensioner pulley and I know there’s more oh yea I need a radiator lol ugh but I love the car so I enjoy working on it
