I haven't started my car (2006 A6/C6) in many months. When I went to start, seems like the battery is dead. Used jumper cables, electric comes on, 19.51 volts (see attached) but won't turn over. Clicking sound made when turning ignition to "ON". See video attached to hear the clicking. I tried a second used battery same results. I've had a parts store try to charge the battery but they say the battery doesn't have enough to crank a car. Is it possible to have good volts but not crank?
What JohnnyJ said. Do the volts drop at all when you try to start it? Is the clicking coming from one of the two relays or is it coming from the starter solenoid on the starter? The relays are both serviceable and replaceable and the solenoid on the starter can be bypassed as an experiment usually with just a screwdriver or one side of a set of jumper cables. Obviously your voltage is indicating at least 5 volts too high which would indicate that you have some other 5 volt source (probably some USB charging device) in series with the measuring point you are using. So, track down the source of your "click", if it's a relay repair or replace, if it's the starter solenoid, most people would replace the starter I tend to take the cheapest route and just replace what is worn/broken.
