So I actually managed to fix this, you probably don't have to pull of the whole mirror like I did, but the trick here is to lift the mirror out of the spring, so that the motor rotates without actually connecting on the upper part.
After lifting the mirror out of the socket, start the engine and fold the mirrors in, then out again while re-ajusting. It should snap in place when you get it right.
Just be careful when doing it, because there is a chance you actually brake the motor, I heard a bad sound a couple times and now the mirror is not super tight, but at least it is stuck in the right position and the fold works fine again.
