Another C6 Avant! (and supercharger oil question)
I'm studying up on a few services for the car...like my '06 it's coming from an auction and will likely have no service records, so I want to do a few services right off the bat for piece of mind....
For the supercharger oil service, does anyone know if the GM/AC Delco (also Eaton) supercharger fluid is the same as the VW/Audi fluid? I ask because it's less than half the price per ounce, and I'm guessing that's due to the typical VW/Audi price markup.
I'm also going to install a poly snub mount right away once the car arrives, the one on my 06 made a noticeable improvement in handling for a pretty reasonable price- under $50....
The car is on its way here (CA) on a transport truck from the east coast, the first car I've ever purchased sight unseen. It looks great in pics and I'm praying it's as good as it looks...I'll know soon....
My B5A4 1.8T is still smooth and strong and now has over 285k on its original clutch!
My other C6 Avant is excellent too, now at 138k...I did carbon cleaning when I changed the hpfp in 2019 at around 127k, and that made a nice performance increase. For fear of expensive repairs, my APR Stage 1 B5 S4 Avant 6spd was sold in 2015.....for $100 less than I paid for it, I got my $100 worth of fun from it and then some

Happy Motoring and thanks for any advice on the supercharger oil...
Dave
Did you remove the supercharger to service the fluid? It looks like a side fill plug,..I'm assuming that you just fill it until it spills out?
How did you extract the fluid? Syringe and tube?
