Suspension tie rods and PM recommendations
Hey Guys,
I bought a '10 3.0t Avant about a year ago and have been enjoying the car. It came to me with broken rear springs, and a loose outer tie rod. In addition to that, I wasn't too impressed with the ride(i'm sure the springs play a role in that), but doing my research the Koni FSD shocks/struts are the way to go on a daily driver. Unfortunately, they were discontinued and the replacement line doesn't have an offering for the C6 models. I lucked out last week on eBay and found a set of NOS FSD bits. I ordered new rears springs, and plan on ordering the fronts as well. My car has 173k miles. I'd like to put another 50k on it before the road salt calls its number. Since I'll need an alignment after the suspension work, what other components should be replaced at this mileage in the suspension? I see they sell full suspension rebuild kits, I'd like to be proactive, but I also don't just want to throw money away.
Any help would be appreciated.
