I can't tell from the post if codes were clear during sub-par driving experience. Either way, bite the bullet and replace cam sensor and wiring. Once you are in there for wiring, sensor is little more work. Get the Bosch OES sensor for a lot fewer dollars than same from Audi. Confirm #, but should be here for $56: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...t=7192&jsn=433 Get connector end and some splice in terminal jumpers from Audi dealer, plus the shrink wrap solder type connectors to join to clean part of harness,. Alternately if terminal ends themselves okay and wire not frayed (even if insulation is toast), smash existing connector with pliers--it will shatter with pressure--and extract intact wiring pins. Then heat shrink cover the conductors and mount them in the replacement hard plastic connector from Audi dealer. Seach on prior posts for more info if needed.
