Ignition Lock Defective

Has anyone replaced their ignition lock switch in a Q5 (8R)? If so, I'd love to see some photos, or hear about your experience. I think mine is worn out.

Thanks so much. Armed with these details, I may attempt this repair myself. It looks like this involves a specialized tool which I may need to purchase as well (VAS 6339)
Some other procedures are involved that I am not familiar with. Do you also have these?
- Removing and installing dash panel cover (driver's side).
- Removing and installing impact damper.
- Removing and installing dash panel vent.

But sometimes the tool can be found elsewhere by its tool id, often chinese knock offs on Amazon or such. At least that tool is cheap.
