Default 2016 SQ5 front brakes

I am ready to get new pads and rotors up front. I am looking at Zimmerman rotors and not sure what pads. I don't need high performance, what pads
are good, and where is a good place to buy ?

Running Zimmerman + Akebono on my Audi. Like them fine. Akebono partfinder says they have a pad set for the 380x36: EUR1546 You can see under Interchange for those pads there appears to be quite a few vendors out there for pads for that application. https://akebonobrakes.mypartfinder.com/

I agree with SMac770, best combination that I have ever used, and I have tried a lot of combinations on my past Audi's and VW's.

How do I know what size front rotors I have, the ones I've found say 345MM is on the SQ5, Brembo caliper. You show 380 above.

I found another post, still learning.

S4 and S5 have 345x30 rotor with TRW single piston floating caliper up front. Just an oversized version of the 320x30 config on the A4 and A5. B8.0 Q5 used the same systems. B8.5 Q5 changed to the Brembo 4-piston fixed caliper config (same rotor sizes as before, 320 on 4-cyl; 345 on 6-cyl) inherited from the Macan. SQ5 has a completely different config, using ATE 4-piston fixed caliper with 380x36 rotors. It should be easy enough to get a rough visual of your front rotors as 320 (12.6"), 345 (13.6"), or 380 (15.0"). The ATE, Brembo, and TRW calipers are clearly distinct visually. Thanks, those 380 rotors are spendy, still looking around. I may just put on pads, not sure yet.

I put the Zimmerman rotors and Akebono pads on my plain jane Q5 as well, and I agree that it is a terrific combination. Braking capability was definitely as good (or better) as OE and there was much less brake dust, which was the icing on the cake.

Thanks for the info, it looks like I will be getting rotors...................2 mm of wear is not much. I put on new rear brake
rotors and pads last year. My SQ5 is at 48,000 miles, I bought it at 42K, so no history of front brakes.
