Automatic 2012 Audi Q5 Gearbox Malfunction
I've heard so many reasons for why this could be (ranging from a simple gearbox oil filter change being needed to the entire mechatronic unit needing to be replaced) from different garages.
Before spending large amounts of money and time on something I might not need I was hoping to get more opinions on what the common causes of this problem could be and the best course of action to find which of these applies to me.
Is this the Multitronic (CVT), s-tronic (DCT), or Tiptronic (ZF)? Better yet, once you have a complete autoscan from VCDS, it'll just put all the relevant details together under 02-auto trans, id info and the DTC info.
