Rear Right Fog Light Won’t Turn Off and Muliple Warnng Lights
Here’s what i have on my q5: The car was left at airport parking for two weeks. When we returned we started the car and immediately noticed warning lights for the left rear turn signal. Visual check indicated the dynamic turn lights in the rear on both sides were not working but the lower lights were. We then noted multiple other lights including:
1. Key Fob LIght: replaced the battery in FOB, no change. FOB only works when placed in left hand cup holder. Confirmed battery at 3v with volt meter.)_
2. CEL Light is on
3. Batter Light is on -electrical system.
4. Triangle with Exclamation mark is on (Traction control)
5. Engine Ignition stystem error (can’t recall exact words)
Anyhow, we were able to drive the car four hours home without any cruise control ability. We notice that when the car is shut off the left rear fog light remains ON even after the car is completely shut off. The light switch is in the OFF position. I disonnected the positive cable to the battery hoping to reset the errors but that did not work—the errors continue and the rear fog light remains on. I pulled the positive cable so as to not drain the battery.
Have Not gotten a code reader on it yet.

Need a full VCDS scan or similar scan tool that shows all DTC’s as it is very likely specific codes will be present that will lead to next steps.
For now you could inspect under trunk floor and trunk side panels for any visible signs of water penetration.

The lights in the bumper are just incandescent bulbs. You could just remove the bulb for the whichever (you say right, and you say left) rear fog until you can determine why the J393 is still sending power when it should be off. Could be the wire is shorted to B+, could be a fault in the J393.
