module programmed by audi
One od my audio components went out and I got it programmed by audi. My battery died and I removed it to charge it in the house. Now my audio system is back on mute. Do I need to get the module reprogrammed again for it to work. Helllllp please

Get VCDS or equivalent and clear all codes. Then see. NOT a simple throw away OBD-II reader to be clear. One that can read all Audi modules. Search if not familiar. Will cost less than any trip to dealer, and then good for life.

VCDS is the one to get, go to Rosstech.com. The site can be a bit confusing at first, You have a few choices depending on what you are willing to spend.
Think about your choice. I now really do wish I had gotten the wireless version. When I first bought it, I was like, "i'm never going to have more then 3 Audis and probably won't use it that often." Well here we are 4 Audis deep and using it at least once a week on average.
The problem with not getting the wireless unit is, there is no upgrade path from the cable to the WL unit. Software updates are for life and free tech support as well. It is a great tool.
